Our Mission and Philosophy

Our mission is to serve the community by providing comprehensive, residential care in a loving, supportive environment for pregnant minors who are in a homeless or other crisis situation, and who have committed to carry their babies to term.

We respect life from the moment of conception.  The teen has already decided to place her child for adoption or parent her child upon entering the shelter and at that point, they are admitted into an environment which stresses sexual abstinence until marriage in a non-judgmental manner.

As we embark on our goal of establishing a transitional home to assist these teens in need, our purpose is to give the teen and her newborn child a place where she can learn to be a nurturing mother, as well as a productive member of society, before entering out into the world.

Mary’s Shelter hopes to continue to grow, saving more lives of teens and their babies.
